DUSHANBE, May 5, 2010, Asia-Plus — A detachment of the Tajik Ministry of Defense (MoD) will be present at a military parade commemorating the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 that will take place in Moscow on May 9.
The MoD spokesman Faridoun Mahmadaliyev says a company of cadets of Tajik Military Institute numbering 70 persons will be on military parade on Moscow’s Red Square.
According to Russian media, the Moscow Victory Parade of 2010 that will be held on the Victory Day on the 65th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War ending in the defeat of Nazi Germany will be the largest parade that has ever been held in Moscow during the post-Soviet years. Some 10,000 military personnel will be present at the parade and more than 130 helicopters and aircrafts will be used.
Also this will be the first parade that will include military units from other countries. France, Britain, United States and the Soviet Union”s major allies in World War II, will take part in the parade.
