KULOB, May 13, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov yesterday visited the city of Kulob and the Muminobod district that were seriously affected by May 7 floods and mudflows to get acquainted with the process of mitigation and removal of effects of the disasters.

In the meantime, construction of another tent city for at least 1,000 people is nearing completion in the city of Kulob.

The source at the commission for mitigation of disaster effects said that sparseness of groups of disaster-hit people impede organization of providing effective assistance to the disaster-hit people (hot meals, medical aid, etc), and therefore, they had decided to create another tent city for thedisaster-hit population.
