DUSHANBE. May 26. “Asia-Plus” — A total of 9.520 bushes of wild cannabis were found in Eva farm in Jabbor Rasulov collective farm in Bobojon Gafurov region at a total area of 0.40 ha and on the territory of Chkalovsk city park at an area of 0,50 ha as a result of Kuknor special operation, Tajik Drug Control Agency (DCA) under Tajikistan President reported.

According to DCA’s laboratory, bushes of cannabis contain the so-called tetrohydrocannabinol agent.

“In presence of witnesses the bushes were mowed and burned,” the source said.

Kuknor-2010 special operation is conducted on the territory of Tajikistan since May 1 and will last till November 30. The operation involves officers from Tajik Interior Ministry, Justice Ministry, Culture Ministry, Ministry of Health, National Security Committee, Environment Protection Committee, TV and Radio Broadcast Committee, Drug Control Agency, Customs service and local officials from the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO), Khatlon and Sughd districts, Dushanbe and Regions of Republican Subordination.
