Dushanbe. June 23. “Asia-Plus” — Tajik mobile operator Babilon-T has filed an appeal to the Tajikistan’s Parliament requesting explanation of a series of laws of the Republic of Tajikistan connected with the activity of management agents, a member of the Committee on Economy, Budget, Finance and Taxes of the lower chamber of the Tajik Parliament Ismoil Talbakov told the AP.
He said the request mainly concerns the Law “On competition and limitation of monopolistic activity at commodity markets”, Law “On business protection and support in Tajikistan” and the Law “On electronic communication.”
“Babilon-T claims that some management agents declare themselves monopolists by misinterpreting items of these laws and thrust their services on other companies. The company mainly complains against Tajik Ministry of Transport and Communications, which forces the company to provide fiber-optic services using equipment of Tajiktelecom public corporation, a state-governed communication services provider,” he said.
He noted that members of the committee on economy, budget, finance and taxes together with their colleagues from the committee on energy, industry, construction and communications have prepared related explanations of the aforementioned laws which will be considered at forthcoming sessions of the lower chamber of the parliament.
