DUSHANBE, September 6, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Dushanbe International Airport has strengthened security measures to ensure safety of passengers.

The deputy chief of the transportation police station at the Dushanbe airport, Aziz Khojayev, says the security measures at the airport have been strengthened in connection with the complex situation in Tajikistan.

“Recent blasts in Tajikistan evoke serious concern; besides, the majority of the escaped prisoners have not yet bee recaptured,” noted Khojayev, “Therefore, the airport security service jointly with the transportation police station has taken additional measures to ensure maximum safety of flights.”
