DUSHANBE, September 18, 2010, Asia-Plus — Vice President of International finance Corporation (IFC) for Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East and North Africa, Rashad Kaldany, will pay visit to Tajikistan on September 23-26, according to the IFC Dushanbe Office.
During his three-day visit, Mr. Kaldany is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov and other high-ranking Tajik state officials and review a number of IFC investment projects in Tajikistan.
Rashad Kaldany is IFC”s new Vice President for Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East and North Africa, and a member of the Management Team. He is based in Istanbul.
Prior to this assignment, Mr. Kaldany was Vice President, Middle East and North Africa, East and South Asia, and Global Infrastructure Cluster, which included the Infrastructure; Information and Communication Technologies; Oil, Gas, Mining, and Chemicals; and Subnational Finance departments.
Previously, Mr. Kaldany was Director of the Infrastructure Department from March 2007 until June 2008, during which IFC”s activities in infrastructure development more than doubled.
Mr. Kaldany joined IFC in 1988. He received a Ph.D. from Columbia University and an MBA from Stanford University.
