KHUJAND, October 23, 2010, Asia-Plus — Uzbek national has been detained n northern Tajikistan with a large amount of hashish.
According to the Sughd police directorate, Uzbek national, D.F., was detained at the border crossing checkpoint in Zafarobod district on the night of October 22-23. Two bags containing narcotic drug tested positive to hashish weighing 44.284 kilograms were confiscated from, the source said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against D.F. and an investigation is under way.
