The estimated budget for the construction of the plant is 21 million U.S. dollars.  “China’s Yu Liang Fu intends to invest US$8.4 million in construction of the plant and the remaining US$12.6 million will be provided by Tajik open joint-stock company (OJSC) Faroz,” the source said.

According to him, the initial capacity of the plat will be up to 200,000 tons of building metal wares per year.  In the future, they plan to increase the plant capacity to 400,000 tons.

“At first, the plant will use scrap iron for manufacturing its output, but in the future, they plan to launch a foundry and they will use iron ore mined at deposit in Varzob district,” the source added.
