KHUJAND, March 25, 2011, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon’s working visit to the northern Sughd province is going on.

Today, Emomali Rahmon will attend an official opening of the socks producing factory in Zafarobod district.

According to the Sughd regional administration press service, the factory with capacity of producing 1.5 million pairs of socks for men and children has been built by the limited liability company, Khujand-Invest-Cotton.

The company invested 4.2 million somoni in the construction of the factory and purchased 7.7 million worth of modern equipment in Italy.  The enterprise is expected to create more than 300 new jobs.

In Zafarobod, the president will also visit a new garden laid out on an area of 100 hectares.  More than 36 various fruit trees have been planted there.

Today, President Rahmon will also visit Mastchoh district, where he will inaugurate a new spinning mill, Olim textiles.
