DUSHANBE, June 8, 2011, Asia-Plus  — Brazilian Ambassador to Tajikistan with residence in Islamabad, Mr. Alfredo Cesar Martino Leoni, yesterday met here with Tajik Foreign Deputy Minister, Nizomiddin Zohidov, according to the Tajik MFA information department.

Brazilian diplomat reportedly arrived in Dushanbe to deliver a written message from Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff addressed to President Emomali Rahmon.

In the course of the talks, Nizomiddin Zohidov and Alfredo Leoni discussed bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Brazil, cooperation between the two nations within international organizations as well as a number of issues being of mutual interest.

Mr. Leoni, in particular, noted that a group of Brazilian entrepreneurs were expected to arrive in Tajikistan to discuss establishment of cooperation in the field of agriculture.

For his part, Zohidov said that Tajikistan was for expansion of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation with Brazil and noted that it was necessary to lay proper legal foundation of cooperation between the two nations.
