DUSHANBE, July 20, 2011, Asia-Plus  — Criminal case launched against Farhod Abdulloyev, the son of the Supreme Court head Nusratullo Abdulloyev, has been dropped, Minister of Interiors Abdurahim Qahhorov announced at a news conference in Dushanbe on July 20.

According to him, the preliminary investigation has shown that “under the situation that emerged that time, Farhod Abdulloyev could not stop his vehicle opportunely.”

We will recall that Supreme Court chairman”s son was suspected of killing a Chinese woman in a car accident.  Farhod Abdulloyev, 24, is believed to have unintentionally killed Liug Zheun, 46, who worked for a Chinese company involved in highway construction in Tajikistan.  The accident happened late on April 12 when Abdulloyev was driving his BMW in central Dushanbe.  The victim died immediately.
