DUSHANBE, November 8, 2011, Asia-Plus  — China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) has been granted a contract for rehabilitation of the road from Dushanbe to the Uzbekistan border via Hisor Valley and the town of Tursunzoda, according to the Ministry of Transport (MoT).

The source at a MoT says more than 40 construction companies participated in a tender for implementation of the project dedicated to upgrade the Dushanbe-Tursunzoda-Uzbek Border highway.  “The tender was finished last March and CRBC was chosen to implement the project and SMEC International has been chosen as consultant to supervise implementation of the project,” the source said.
