KULOB, December 29, 20011, Asia-Plus  — Ministries and enterprises are continuing to provide humanitarian aid to orphanages and boarding schools in the Kulob region, Khatlon province.

On December 28, representatives from the Ministry of Energy and Industries visited the Tanobchi orphanage in the Temourmalik district.

They brought gifts and humanitarian aid to the orphanage kids on the occasion of New Year.  The assistance included food products, essential goods and a consignment of energy-saving light bulbs for a total amount of 8,000 somoni.

The Tanobchi orphanage now houses 121 boys aged 7 to 16.

On the same day, representatives from Tojikcement (Dushanbe cement plant) provided humanitarian aid to the boarding school in the Muminobod district.  The assistance included food products, warm clothes as well as stoves and fuel for heating the boarding school.
