Another fire occurred in a house of Jurabek Ohonov, manager of Movarounnahr company, who is currently facing a series of criminal charges.

The fire occurred at night on April 29, the Dushanbe Fire Department told AP. The causes remain unclear, investigation is still under way. Other details remain unavailable.

In his interview to Asia-Plus Jurabek Ohonov’s brother Turabek Ohonov said the fire spread to his brother’s house from a nearby building. “The fire spread to Jurabek’s from the nearby house at approximately 1p.m. Firefighters arrived after an hour or so. When they appeared the second floor was totally destroyed by the fire. Even though it was raining it took the firefighters two hours to extinguish the fire. Thus, the fire has totally destroyed my brother’s three storey house,” T.Ohonov said, adding that the volume of the damage remains unclear.

This is not the first fire which occurred in Movarounnahr manager’s house. The first fire occurred in the summer kitchen on March 13 this year. However, the fire was quickly localized in a period of 10-15 minutes. Owners told the reporters that the fire occurred as a result of short circuit and spread over plastic paneling. The fire caused a small damage to the kitchen.
