Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan Shukurjon Zuhurov visited Jirgital region today and met with active citizens of the region.

In the course of the meeting he said that current crediting system under which Tajik banks issue credits does not correspond to existing social situation of the population.

“Our commercial banks issue credits with too high interest rates: from 24 up to 36 annual rate – this is too high for our current conditions and hampers the development of small and medium business,” he said.

“Currently the population of Tajikistan has more than 5bln Somoni. This shows that the population doesn’t trust to our banks and, therefore, we need to reform our banking sector,” Zuhurov said.

Speaker of the Lower Chamber of Tajikistan Shukurjon Zuhurov visited Jirgital to explain President’s Annual Message to the population. He was accompanied by deputies of the Lower Chamber Olim Safarov and Narzullo Saifulloev.
