Session of the permanently acting Council of Ministers of Finance of CIS member states is scheduled for May 23 in Astana. Tajik Minister of Finance Shavkat Sokhibov is expected to take part in the session, Tajik Minister of Finance told AP.

The session will be dedicated to the discussion of current condition of national economies of CIS member states. Top CIS finance officials are also expected to identify further goals for cooperation.

The Council of Finance Ministers of CIS member states will hold its session in the frameworks of the V Astana Economic Forum dedicated to threats and perspectives of development of global economy in the condition of global transformation which is due on May 23-24. The forum is expected to gather more than 6.500 delegates from 85 countries.

The forum’s program will consist of more than 40 events in different formats with participation of delegates from 85 countries, including Tajikistan. VII Innovation Congress “Innovation business way towards competitive economy”, which will include energy and ecologic forum “Energy and ecologic initiatives of Kazakhstan”, will be also held in the frameworks of the forum.
