Tajikistan President’s youngest son Somon Emomali Rahmon, a 7-form pupil of the Dushanbe international school, was awarded gold medal in programming at the International IT Project Olympiad held in early May in Bucharest, Romania.

13-year-old Somon Emomali designed an electronic dictionary in four languages – Tajik, Russian, English and Turkish. Another pupil Isrofil Ismoilov, who helped Tajik President’s son to design the dictionary, was awarded similar gold medal.

In his interview to AP director of the Hoji Kamol Tajik-Turkish Lyceum Naim Elderym said that the International IT Project Olympiad consisted of four nominations: programming, animation film, short educational film and computer management.

Tajik schoolchildren also won silver and gold medals at the Bucharest Olympiad.

Two five-form pupils from the international school Sherali Abdulloev and Selman Erkaya won silver medals for animation film “School Laws”.

Ismatjon Ismatov and Mirzoikrom Sharipov, both eight-form pupils of the Khujand Tajik-Turkish Lyceum, won bronze medals in the same nomination for animation film “Seller and parrot”.

10-form pupils from the Dushanbe Tajik-Turkish Economic Lyceum Saidmuzaffar Haidarov and Sherali Saidov won bronze medals for short educational film “Blue pencil”.
