The U.S. embassy in Tajikistan sponsored the opening of Nurafzo diagnostic center in Dushanbe, the U.S. embassy told AP.

On May 24 the U.S. Ambassador Ken Gross took part in the official opening ceremony of Nurafzo diagnostic center located in the National Medical Center. The newly opened center will offer its clients such services as computer and magnetic resonance scan and digital X-ray.

Ambassador Gross cited the opening a this center as an ideal example of American investments to business which is favorable for the local population. Nurafzo has 21 local professionals among its personnel.

Major portion of Nurafzo’s shares is owed by the U.S. investment company Axiom Investments which invests funds to health and education sectors in developing countries. Axiom is also planning to sponsor opening of another five diagnostic centers in Dushanbe, Sughd and Khatlon provinces.
