Criminal group involved in a series of grave offences, including murder and terror attacks, destroyed in South Tajikistan on Monday.

As reported by the Tajik Interior Ministry, members of the group, which was headed by a 37-year-old Sherali Adhamov, have resisted arrest. No casualties were reported. Special operation was carried out in Bedak village of Pyanj region. Leader of the group was arrested together with three members of the group.

The police have seized two Kalashnikov assault rifles, two grenades, 800 shells, 15 cell phones, 103 SIM cards, radio station, ammunition, several vehicles which were stolen by the group, huge consignment of drugs and documents from Adhamov’s house, the ministry has said.

Interior Ministry said the operation was supported by the Tajik State National Security Committee.
