Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon, who is currently on his official visit to China, arrived to Beijing to take part in the session of heads of SCO member states.

As reported by the President’s press service, upon his arrival to Beijing Tajik leader met with head of the Board of the Chinese National Petroleum Corporation CNPC Jiang Jemin.

The sides met to discuss establishment of cooperation between the Chinese oil and gas company and related structures of Tajikistan regarding exploration works to reveal oil and gas deposits in Tajikistan. President Rahmon said Tajikistan is interested in establishing cooperation with the Chinese company and is ready to create related conditions for its successful activity in Tajikistan.

Mr.Jemin said the company operates in 61 countries and Tajikistan will be the next country.

The sides signed Memorandum of cooperation between Tajik Ministry of Energy and Industry and CNPC.
