On Wednesday Speaker of the Lower Chamber of Tajikistan’s Parliament Shukurjon Zukhurov met with the visiting Commander-in-Chief of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army General Staff Headquarters Four-star General Chen Bingde.

As reported by press service of the Majlisi namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan, Mr.Zukhurov called China respected and reliable neighbor and told Mr. Bingde about the activity of the Tajik Parliament.

Speaker of the Tajik Parliament’s Lower Chamber expressed satisfaction over the current level of cooperation between Tajik and Chinese parliaments and stressed that during independence the two countries signed more than 150 normative and legal acts which are currently being used in different spheres. “This can be seen from China’s participation in implementation of 50 projects which are currently being implemented in Tajikistan,” the source reported.

Mr. Bingde stressed that the developing military-to-military and technical cooperation between China and Tajikistan is aimed to preserve peace and stability in the entire region.

According to AP’s source in Tajik Prime Minister’s Secretariat, yesterday Tajik Prime Minister Aqil Aqilov met with the visiting PLA Commander-in-Chief to discuss development of relations between Tajikistan and China.
