Parviz Ahmadov the first Tajik boxing coach to join ASBC

DUSHANBE, March 4, 2013, Asia-Plus  — Representative of Tajikistan will protect interests of Tajik boxers within the Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC) for the first time.

“Parviz Ahmadov is the first Tajik boxing coach to join ASBC” Murodali Teshayev, the press secretary of Tajikistan’s National Olympic Committee (NOC), told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to him, Parviz Ahmadov was elected to the ASBC Refereeing and Judging Commission in September 2011.  “Within the next few days, Parviz Ahmadov will go to the Philippines, where the next ASBC congress will take place,” Teshayev said. 

Under the direction of Parviz Ahmadov, Jahon Qurobonov won gold medal at he 2006 Asian Games and Sherali Dostiyev won bronze medal at the 2006 World Amateur Boxing Championships, Teshayev added.

The ASBC Refereeing & Judging Commission is now composed of: Homayoun Ardalan – (Iran); Parviz    Ahmadov – (Tajikistan); Weng Tung – (Hong Kong); Nurmukhamed Podtyev – (Turkmenistan); and Ali Nasser Al Bikri Al Yafei – (Qatar).
