DUSHANBE, June 3, 2013, Asia-Plus — Unidentified assailants have killed all members of one family, including three minors, and seized approximately $30,000 worth of gold jewelries.

According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the incident took place overnight June 1-2 in the northern district of Bobojonghafurov.

Unidentified persons penetrated into the house of Ahmadkhouja Boboyev and shot him, his wife Hayotkhon Boboyeva and two children – Rukhshona Boboyeva, 16, and Suhrobjon Boboyev, 15 – to death from assault rifle Kalashnikov.  The assailants locked their six-year-old son Sanjarbek in a sauna.  They seized approximated US$30,000 worth of gold jewelries, set fire to the house and escaped.  The six-year-old Sanjarbek died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

By interior minister’s order a special group has been set up to investigate this crime.  An official source at the Interior Ministry’s office for the Sughd province says Ahmadkhouja Boboyev had been engaged in sales of gold jewelries.
