DUSHANBE, July 9, 2013, Asia-Plus – A ceremony of an official opening of a TB hospital and a TV center took place in the Tojikobod jamoat, Vakhsh district in Khatlon on July 7 in the presence of President Emomali Rahmon.

According to the president’s website, the hospital and the center have been built due to state fund and foreign financial support.  A total cost of the project is 8 million somoni.

The TB center is reportedly provided with the state-of-the-art medical equipment, including the X-ray unit worth 500,000 USD.

The hospital with 60 beds has physiotherapy, salt therapy and medical sports rooms that meet international standards.  The hospital also has sanatorium conditions and autonomous heating system   

More than 80 specialists now work with the hospital and the center.
