DUSHANBE, July 11, 2013, Asia-Plus — A Tajik national who is wanted in Tajikistan for alleged involvement in serious crimes has been extradited to Tajikistan from Russia.

Some Russian media sources report Fakhriddin Saidov has lived in Russia under another name for nearly six years.

In Tajikistan, Saidov is reportedly wanted for a number of serious crimes, including armed robbery, obstruction of justice and illegal deprivation of liberty.

Fakhriddin Saidov, 45, was detained at the Koltsovo Airport in Yekaterinburg on October 25, 2012.

notes that as a person close to the chairman of the Union of Tajiks in Perm Sayfiddin Odinayev, Saidov has been officially registered in his apartment.

During the civil war in Tajikistan, Fakhriddin Saidov had fought on the side of the United Tajik Opposition (UTO).
