DUSHANBE, September 13, 2013, Asia-Plus – Provincial cells of the People’s Democratic Party in Badakhshan and Khatlan, as well as Dushanbe organization of the Party will elect delegates tomorrow during their conferences for the PDP Congress, scheduled for 4 October in Dushanbe.
It is expected that the ruling party candidate for president will be announced during the Congress.
The Head of Public Relations and Propaganda Department of the PDP, Usman Saliev, told Asia-Plus that aside from the election of delegates for the Congress, reports from regional PDP chiefs on the work done during the year, as well as special tasks of PDP members during presidential elections will also be heard during the conferences.
Mr. Saliev says: “Over a thousand delegates from all the regions of Tajikistan are expected to participate in the PDP Congress scheduled for 4 October.”
