DUSHANBE, December 12, 2013, Asia-Plus – Tajik interior minister has ordered police and firefighting units to prepare themselves for abnormal cold weather that, according to weather forecast, is expected to come on December 16-17.

According to the Interior Ministry’s website, the minister points to the necessity of taking measures to ensure safety of traffic and to mitigate effects of possible disasters.

Relevant units of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) are tasked to be ready for providing assistance to the population and mitigating effects of possible disasters, the Interior Ministry’s website said.
