DUSHANBE, March 18, 2014, Asia-Plus – Seven persons were killed and at least four others were injured on March 17 as a vehicle fell into a river in the northern Sughd province.

According to the Sughd traffic police department, the accident took place on the 158th kilometer of the Dushanbe-Khujand highway.

“The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and it fell into the river,” said the source.  “The driver and six his passengers, including a teacher and five high-school seniors from School # 1 in the Ayni district, were killed and four other passengers (they are also high-school seniors from Ayni School # 1) sustained serious injuries school and were taken to hospital in Khujand.”

They were going to Khujand to hand in their documents to the National Test Center’s brunch for Sughd province.
