DUSHANBE, May 13, 2014, Asia-Plus — The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan is conducting a joint emergency room trauma course for emergency medical aid doctors.

According to press release issued by the ICRC Mission in Tajikistan, the course is taking place in Dushanbe from May 13 to May 15.

It is the first training on emergency medical actions for 20 emergency doctors that is being conducted in Tajikistan.

World-class  instructors  of  the  International  Committee  of  the  Red  Cross  in providing  specialized  first  medical aid  are reportedly teaching methods of standard diagnosis and therapeutic procedures applied to  patients in order to  decrease  morbidity and mortality rate  as a result  of a major trauma.

Conducting this training has become possible due to proactive organizational support of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

“The objective of the training is to increase and strengthen the knowledge and skills of specialists working in the field of emergency medical aid,” reported Julie Currie – Health Delegate of the ICRC.

The training program includes most important issues and aspects, while providing emergency aid, especially in field conditions.
