DUSHANBE, June 2, 2014, Asia-Plus – “Analyzing strategically your own organization”, “defining and managing the main phases of Project”s Cycle”, “obtaining a clear overview of the main international Donors engaged in Tajikistan.”  These are some of the skills that participants to the “Training of Trainers (ToTs) on Project Cycle Management and Engagement with International Donors” developed during a 5 full-day program held in Dushanbe, press release, issued by the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Tajikistan on June 2, says.

Organized by the Italian Ngo Cesvi in its Dushanbe office within the framework of the EU-funded project “Handicraft and Business through Regional Integration and Fair Trade Market,” the training reportedly involved representatives from the Union of Craftsmen of Tajikistan, the National Association of Small and Medium Business, the Association of Jewelers, the Ministry of Culture, the Chamber of Commerce and other local NGOs.

Attendees have had the opportunity to explore concrete ways for improving the daily management of their Organizations, reinforcing and diversifying their mid/long term sustainability.

This ToTs is only the first of a series of professional trainings that aim at strengthening the role of Tajik and Kyrgyz Business Intermediary Organizations (BIOs) and enhancing their technical skills.

During the 2 years of this project, which is promoting cross border cooperation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in the handicraft sector, international and local experts will address crucial topics such as marketing, internationalization of Small and Medium Enterprises, Export, Taxation and Customs regulations, adapting them to the concrete needs and priorities of small and micro enterprises operating in the Central Asian scenario.
