DUSHANBE, November 27, 2014, Asia-Plus — Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and his Czech counterpart Milos Zeman attended a conference of representatives of the business communities of Tajikistan and the Czech Republic that took place here on November 26.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, more than 400 entrepreneurs from both countries participated in the forum.

Inaugurating the forum, Tajik leader expressed confidence that the forum would yield positive results, Rahmon reportedly noted that all necessary conditions had been created in Tajikistan for development of entrepreneurship and investment.

Tajikistan is taking measures to simplify the entrepreneurship regulation rules and a big job has been done to ensure legal protection of entrepreneurship and integration of Tajikistan into the world economy, Rahmon noted.

Speaking at the forum, President Zeman, for his part, called on entrepreneurs of the two countries to cooperate more closely.

On the same day, President Zeman met with Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda.  The sides reportedly discussed issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries.

According to data of the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan, a two-way trade between Tajikistan and the Czech Republic in 2013 amounted to little more than 3.4 million U.S. dollars.
