DUSHANBE, April 27, 2015, Asia-Plus — A group of vendors running shops at Dushanbe’s Shohmansour bazaar has demonstrated removing their shops to the Trading Complex Poytakht-90.

A group of vendors running shops at Dushanbe’s Shohmansour bazaar gathered near the building of the Tajik national TV channel, Shabakai Aval (Channel One), on April 25.  They tried to draw the leadership of the Tajik government”s attention to their problems.  Those gathered were discontented about the mayor’s office’s decision to remove their shops to the Trading Complex Poytakht-90.

Meanwhile, the head of the Dushanbe department for trade and bazaars regulation, Sayfullo Aminov, says their discontent is absolute unfounded.  “The Shohmansour bazaar is intended for selling vegetables, fruits and food products but not for selling furniture, household electronics and clothing,” said Aminov.  “For the purpose of removing traffic jams near the bazaar the mayor’s office made the decision to remove all shops selling furniture, household electronics and clothing to the Trading Complex Poytakht-90.”

According to him, shops selling dried fruits and honey will also be removed to the Trading Complex Poytakht-90.
