DUSHANBE, May 5, 2015, Asia-Plus — Commander of a frontier post of border unit 2042 deployed in the northern province of Sughd has been detained on suspicion of bribe taking.

According to the anticorruption agency press center, he was detained red-handed while taking 2,700 somoni for letting trucks of the limited liability company, Kurush 2014, proceed via the border crossing point without undue delay.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against him and an investigation is under way, the source said.
