DUSHANBE, May 6, 2015, Asia-Plus — A woman has been detained with a large amount of raw opium in Dushanbe.

The Interior Ministry’s website reports that a 42-year-old woman from Dushanbe was detained on May 5 on suspicion of drug peddling.

A package of narcotic drug that tested positive to raw opium weighing 0.5 kilogram was confiscated from her.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug peddler and an investigation is under way.
