DUSHANBE, May 20, 2015, Asia-Plus – The Drug Control Agency under the President of Tajikistan (DCA) has received operational information that a resident of Afghan Badakhshan Province is engaged in smuggling drugs into Tajikistan and the Afghan Interior Ministry has been immediately informed of that, according to the DCA press center.

As a result of operation carried out by Afghan police more than 32 kilograms of heroin have been found in a home of a resident of the village of Ab-e Barak in Argu Wuluswali, Badakhshan Province.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged drug trafficker and an investigation is under way, the source said.
