DUSHANBE, June 4, 2015, Asia-Plus – Iranian news agency IRAN reports that Iran”s Minister of Energy Hamid Chitchian said in Tehran on June 2 that Iran is ready for active contribution to implementation of the water and electricity projects in Tajikistan.

During a meeting with Tajik Ambassador to Iran, Nematullo Emomzoda, in Tehran, Chitchian reportedly said on June 2 that said Tajikistan initiative for holding high level International Conference on the Implementation of the International Decade for Action “Water for Life”, 2005-2015, (June 9-11) is a very good move and Iran supports Tajikistan role in this important international issue.

He said he will attend as the envoy of Iran president to the meeting and hoped that the conference and the meetings, to be held on the sidelines, will help reach a conclusion on mutually concerned problems.

Referring to lingual and cultural as well as religious commonalties of Iran and Tajikistan, he said the feeling of proximity will further pave the ground for mutual ties.
