DUSHANBE, July 9, 2015, Asia-Plus — The State Unitary Enterprise Khojagii Manziliu Kommunali (KMK — the state holding company for public utilities) director general Alimurod Islomzoda told reporters in Dushanbe on July 9 that Khojagii Manziliu Kommunali and Russia’s GAZ (Gorky Automobile Plant) have agreed to launch a joint venture for assembling municipal engineering in Tajikistan.
According to him, they signed a protocol last month and Rusal (Russian Aluminum) controlled by Russian businessman Oleg Deripaska has promised financial support for the project.
Islomzoda noted that Khojagii Manziliu Kommunali now has 887 special municipal vehicles but only 567 of them are operable.
GAZ is the core company of GAZ Group holding, a part of Basic Element business group owned by Oleg Deripaska.
