DUSHANBE, July 26, 2015, Asia-Plus – On Friday July 24, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov met with Wang Xiaotao, Vice-chairman of the China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), in Beijing, according to the Tajik MFA information department.

The two reportedly discussed issues related to trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and China.

Aslov and Wang also exchanged views on priorities of economic cooperation between the two countries and expansion of investment activities of Chinese companies in Tajikistan, the source said.  

The National Development and Reform Commission of the People”s Republic of China (NDRC), formerly State Planning Commission and State Development Planning Commission, is a macroeconomic management agency under the Chinese State Council, which has broad administrative and planning control over the Chinese economy.  The NDRC”s functions are to study and formulate policies for economic and social development, maintain the balance of economic development, and to guide restructuring of China”s economic system.  The NDRC has twenty-six functional departments/bureaus/offices with an authorized staff size of 890 civil servants.
