. “Asia Plus” — In all Tajik schools today will ring the first school bell, which marks the beginning of a new school year.

By tradition, the first school day will begin with the solemn meeting devoted to the Day of Knowledge.

Day of Knowledge with the participation of President Emomali Rahmon will hold today at the National University of Kulyab, where the head of state is on a working visit. Here, after the opening after reconstruction of the building of the university, the president will hold for the students a Class of the World.

As reported the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan, solemn line in honor of the Day of Knowledge will start this year from 7 to 7:30 am. Then all the students will listen a TV perfomance by the President, and then the student will start their first day of school.

According to a source in the Ministry of Education, it is not known how many children will go to the first class in the new school year. These will be known after the 20th of September, when all the classes will be formed. In general, Tajikistan has 3 thousand 836 schools.

The total amount of entered the universities of the country, according to the ministry, this year will be more than 40 thousand people. For the present the final number of freshmen is unknown because the National Test Center announced the redistribution of students in high schools, who had a shortage of points. The results of the redistribution will be announced on September 3.
