Dushanbe. 8 September. “Asia Plus” — On September 1, 2015, Mr. Takashi KAMADA,

Ambassador

of Japan in the Republic of Tajikistan, visited Darzov District and attended a handover ceremony, together with Mr. Saidburhon ABDURAHMONZODA, the Chairperson of Darvoz District for “The Project for Rehabilitation of the Pediatrics Department and Provision of Medical Equipment at Central Hospital of Darvoz District.” The total grant amount of 112,268 U.S. Dollars was provided to the local government of Darvoz District from the Government of Japan through the scheme of “Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP)”.

Prior to the implementation of the project, the Central Hospital was in need of necessary equipment and further rehabilitation. With the successful project completion, now the building of the Central Hospital in Darvoz has its roof and electric supply system rehabilitated, and necessary medical equipment—cardio monitor, oxygenator, ECG, X-ray apparatus, ultrasounds scanner and other equipment—were provided.
