DUSHANBE, November 16, 2015, Asia-Plus – A young woman from the Danghara district, Khatlon province has been arrested on suspicion of selling her newborn baby, according to the Interior Ministry’s official website.

The 32-year-old woman from the Danghara district, who arrested in Dushanbe on November 15, reportedly sold her newborn son to local 33-year-old woman for 900.00 somoni.

The 44-year-old woman from the Fayzobod district, who had acted as mediator in this crime, was also arrested.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted and an investigation is under way.
