DUSHANBE, November 17, 2015, Asia-Plus – A creative evening with known Tajik Russian-speaking poet and novelist Temur Zulfiqorov will take place in Dushanbe on November 21.

The event will take place at the Russian Drama Theater named after Vladimir Mayakovskiy.

Actors of Tajik theaters as well as Russian singer and actress, Irina Dmitriyeva-Vann, who performs music romances based on Zulfiqorov’s verses, will participate in the event.  

Known Tajik Russian-speaking poet, novelist and playwright Temur Zulfiqorov (born on August 17, 1936) has written poems, using elements of ancient Russian and Muslim Sufi poetry.

In 2000 he was nominated for a Nobel Prize for literature.  Temur Zulfiqorov is holder of the Yasnaya Polyana Literary Award, which is given to authors of outstanding works.   He was born in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.  He had lived for a long time in Moscow and he now lives in Dushanbe.
