The helicopter of Tajik Defense Ministry this morning did its first flight to the ruined after the earthquake Bartang, which remained blocked from the ground and from the air for several days. The second helicopter with a cargo of aid was on the runway of Khorog`s airport.

The departmental head of public relations of GBAO administration Nilufar Aslamshoeva reported that on the board of the helicopter, which has early in the morning departed from Rushan`s district center, there were tents and food for the victims of the earthquake that occurred on December the 7th.

On the way back the helicopter will take aboard people who were left homeless. Schools, homes and hospitals in the center of Rushan have been already prepared for their location.

According to N. Aslamshoeva, weather forecasters today promise favorable conditions for flying to Bartang and military pilots are going to make several sorties per day.

During the two days the allocated on the Presiden`s behalf helicopters with the aid to the victims could not fly out from Rushan in Bartang because of bad weather conditions.

Many social facilities including schools, libraries and other institutions were partially damaged.

The residents of 237 completely destroyed houses are located in places of temporary residence, provided with food, clothing, and other conditions.
