DUSHANBE, February 1, 2016, Asia-Plus – The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament discussed draft laws on dehqon (peasant) farms and national industrial policy at a February 1 meeting, presided over, by its head, Shukurjon Zuhurov.

Muhammadato Sultonov,  a spokesman for Majlisi Namoyandagon, says the board also discussed amendments proposed to the country’s laws on prosecutors and periodical press and other mass media as well as the country’s administrative code.

Besides, the board members discussed the issue of ratification of an agreement between the Government of Tajikistan and UN FAO on the project for improvement of locust management.

They also considered a draft decree of the government on president’s recommendation for election of Bakhtiyor Khudoyorzoda as head of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda (CCER).

The board also discussed the issue of establishment of the Tajikistan-Israel Parliamentary Friendship Group and the Tajikistan-Czech Parliamentary Friendship Group, Sultonov said.
