DUSHANBE, May 17, 2016, Asia-Plus – Forty-one countries of the world have provided 14.9 million U.S. dollars’ worth of more than 7,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan over the first four months of this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
Over the same four-month period, among the donor countries the greatest share in value reportedly came from China – 29 percent; Russia – 20 percent; Pakistan – 8.6 percent; India – 6.8 percent; Denmark – 4.3 percent; Serbia – 3.7 percent: republic of Korea – 3.2 percent; Switzerland – 3.1 percent; Turkey – 3.0 percent; Belarus and Azerbaijan – 2.5 percent each; France – 2.3 percent; Thailand – 1.8 percent; the United States – 1.9 percent; the Netherlands – 1.6 percent; Iran – 1.4 percent; and others.
In January-April last year, twenty-seven countries of the world provided 14.1 million U.S. dollars’ worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan.
Forty-two countries of the world reportedly provided 45 million U.S. dollars’ worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan in 2015.
