DUSHANBE, May 19, 2016, Asia-Plus – On May 17, new Tajik Ambassador to China Parviz Davlatzoda presented his credentials to the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, according to the Tajik MFA information department.  

Upon receiving the letter of credentials from the newly-appointed Tajik ambassador, Xi reportedly welcomed Davlatzoda to his post and asked him to convey his greetings to the leader and people of Tajikistan.

The Chinese government will support Tajik ambassador’s work, Chinese president said, calling on Davlatzoda to make contributions to the development of bilateral ties and cooperation between China and Tajikistan in multiple areas.

Chinese leader noted that China and Tajikistan are good neighbors and mutually beneficial fruitful cooperation has been established between the two countries.

Tajik diplomat, for his part, noted that Tajikistan attaches significance to its cooperation with China, which is one of priorities of Tajikistan’s foreign policy.

Davlatzoda assured Chinese leader that he would make every effort to promote further expansion of fruitful cooperation between the two friendly countries.
