DUSHANBE, May 19, 2016, Asia-Plus – Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CES) under the Government of Tajikistan, Lieutenant-General Rustam Nazarzoda, yesterday met in Moscow with Russian Minister for Emergency Situations Vladimir Puchkov, according to the CES press center.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the international exhibition, dubbed “Integrated Safety and Security-2016,” which kicked off in Moscow on May 17.

Tajik top emergency relief official reportedly asked his Russian counterpart to provide assistance with training of specialists for the Tajik emergency management agency and establishment of the crisis management center in Tajikistan.

Nazarzoda noted that Tajikistan needs Russia’s support for training of officers and psychologists as well as retraining of CES personnel.

He added that Tajikistan plans to establish the crisis management center on the model of Russia’s national crisis management center.

Russian minister reportedly noted that Russia would provide all necessary assistance, the CES press center said.

The 9th international salon of security tools has become one of the main exhibition platforms for conventional security products.  Surveillance systems, access control, firefighting vehicles, equipment and solutions along with rescue equipment and unmanned complexes serve to ensure civil protection, specially protected sites security, safety and health, environmental protection etc.

The exhibition opened with a simulation exercise demonstrating the capabilities of modern rescue equipment and techniques, as well as disaster management strategies, possessed by the Russian Emergencies Ministry and other emergency services.
