Rahmon reportedly shakes up officials

DUSHANBE, May 31, 206, Asia-Plus – President Emomali Rahmon introduced a number of staff changes at a May 31 meeting of the government, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

The website refrained from giving further details of the staff changes.  

The government reportedly endorsed draft laws on payment services and payment procedures as well as on the state policy in the field of industry. 

The government also endorsed amendments proposed to the country’s law on the synoptic activity as well as customs and town-planning codes.

The mentioned draft laws were sent for consideration to the country’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament.

Besides, the meeting heard a report by head of Khatlon’s Hamadoni district about the process of implementation of Tajikistan’s constitutional law on the local authorities.

The government also supported proposal of the legislature (Majlis) of Sughd province to rename the Nov settlement of the northern district of Spitamen the Navkat settlement.
