told Asia-Plus in an interview Friday afternoon.

According to him,

Jahonnamo

will broadcast programs not only about political, economic, cultural and sports life of the United States, but it will also cover activities of the Tajik Diaspora in the United States.

Tajikistan”s first news television channel named

Jahonnamo

began broadcasting on November 5, 2008. The news television channel broadcasts both terrestrial and satellite (ABS-2 satellite) 24 hours a day.

Broadcasting is in Tajik, but some news programs are also released in Russian and English.  Director of Jahonnamo Channel is known Tajik TV reporter Abdumajid Usmonov.
