DUSHANBE, July 18, 2016, Asia-Plus – Forty-six countries of the world have provided 23.5 million U.S. dollars’ worth of more than 12,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan over the first six months of this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Over the same six-month period, among the donor countries the greatest share in value reportedly came from China – 26.3 percent; Russia – 19.4 percent; India – 9.3 percent; Pakistan – 5.8 percent; Serbia – 5.4 percent; Kazakhstan – 4.0 percent; Denmark – 3.7 percent; Germany and South Korea – 2.9 percent each; Turkey – 2.8 percent; Belarus – 2.7 percent; Switzerland – 2.6 percent; Azerbaijan and the United States – 1.6 percent each; France and the Netherlands – 1.5 percent each; Thailand – 1.4 percent; Iran – 1.2 percent;  and others.

In January-June last year, forty-two countries of the world provided 21.1 million U.S. dollars’ worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan.

We will recall that forty-two countries of the world reportedly provided 45 million U.S. dollars’ worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan in 2015.
